Funding for Myself

When I was growing up, I was no stranger to fundraisers. When I was in grade school, I sold chocolate bars for class fundraisers. Then in junior high and high school, I raised money for centers that supported pregnant women. As an adult, I raised funds for survivors of Typhoon Haiyan (a.k.a. Super Typhoon Yolanda) in the Philippines and for survivors of sexual violence in Greater Boston. This is just a sample of initiatives for which I did fundraising.

Networking and Negotiating for Healthcare

I have received some sweet offers to get my mind off of my health situation, but I’ve had to decline them because I’m so busy networking and negotiating for healthcare.

I’m no stranger to the topics of networking and negotiating. In fact, yesterday I facilitated a workshop on those very topics for students with respect to their career development.

Now I’m applying the transferable skills of networking and negotiating to my healthcare.
